Interactive Event To Benefit Strong Kids Campaign Features NYFD Fire Engine, NYPD Police Vehicle, UPS Truck, Bouncy Castles, Arts & Crafts, Local Food Vendors and Live Music Performances by AudraRox

The West Side YMCA’s annual Touch-A-Truck Street Fair & Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 22 from 10am – 4pm (rain or shine) on West 64th St. between Broadway and Central Park West. The hands-on, interactive event gives children the opportunity to touch, climb on, sit in and experience many of the trucks they see in their every day life, while meeting the local professionals who drive them. Vehicles include an NYFD fire engine, NYPD police car, UPS truck and many more. The day’s family-focused activities also include two bouncy castles, face painting, arts & crafts, raffles and two live music performances by kids rock star AudraRox at 11am and 1pm.

Many local restaurants and bakeries have contributed delicious items for sale, including O’Neals’ Restaurant, 63Bites, Magnolia Bakery, Alice’s Tea Cup, Soutine, Crumbs, Amy’s Bread, Eleni’s Cookies and Taste Cookies.

Called “the queen of the NY kid-rock scene” by Time Out New York Kids, AudraRox has been making music and teaching music classes to children for the last ten years. She is based in Brooklyn, and has appeared on Jack’s Big Music Show (Noggin/Nick Jr.) and Sesame Street.

Activities are variably priced, depending upon activities chosen, and can be purchased on-site. All proceeds benefit scholarships provided by the West Side YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign.
