The classes consists of stretching, basic technique, kata (form), kumite (sparring), and meditation. Classes are available for children ages 4 to 14. In the children’s class, a strong emphasis is placed on the development of courtesy and discipline. Students work together and with the teacher to learn the fundamentals and applications of Karate. By training together, students develop respect for each other as well as themselves.
