Disney Cars by RideMakerZ

I TOTALLY missed this!  Apparently they were out for the Holiday season.  These cars are so cooool.  If you have a child 3-35 years that is into cars and you have $50 to throw around, you must make your way to a Disney Store and check these cars out.  I was just at the new store in Times Square and I played with the cars for 25 minutes and I am a smidge older than 35.  They are fully customizable with different wheels, tires, spoilers, street lights, hood scoops, motors, side pipes, muffler tips, fins, decals and more.  Your kid will be the most popular kid on the block after others find out they have this toy.  Oh… and good luck dragging your child away from the Disney Store section.  This is a supercharged interactive experience that lets kids of all ages dream up, build and customize their very own radio controlled car or truck. You use the in-store workbench to assemble your ride and take your creation for a spin around the store.  The idea was developed from the recently opened RideMakerZ store in Walt Disney World resorts and Disney in-store displays and accessories have been adapted from the concept.

You start off choosing the chassis you would like which includes the three most popular characters – Lighting McQueen, Mater and Sally.  For each character they have between 2 and 4 versions – Classic Lighting, Classic Tow Mater, Classic Sally or custom ones like Cruisin’ Lighting McQueen, Dark Racer Lightning McQueen (Carbon), Dinoco Lighting McQueen, Mater the Greater, Stealth Tow Mater (Darth Mater), and Sally Customer bodies.

You then choose whether you are going to get the basic chassis which rolls and plays sounds or the radio-controlled chassis upgrade.

Next you choose wheels and tires and last but certainly not least – the accessories which go on and on and on.  They include spoilers, street lights, hood scoops, side pipes, motors, muffler tips, decals and more.

Apparently, the kits were available at the DisneyStore.com website for a short time, no more.  I don’t know why.  Maybe they couldn’t keep them in stock.

Unfortunately, like anything this cool, you are going to have to pay up for this toy.  Expect to pay at least $50 – all in without excess parts.

Don’t forget to visit RideMakerZ during your annual visit to Disney Resorts.  They have an extensive supply of parts and chasses or visit www.ridemakerz.com.
