Appleseeds NYC

New York City is wonderful wonderland of parks and sights but can be difficult to maneuver with children when the weather doesn’t permit – be it the cold of winter, the hot of summer, or the spring rains. As a result there have been a number of playspaces that have popped up around the city to provide safe, clean, all-inclusive experiences, where you can experience a sense of community – and a whole slew of diverse classes to boot.

apple seeds is a 15,000 square foot, all-in-one play space for families with children newborn to five. They have an indoor playground designed by well known children’s museum designers, over 100 classes a week — from art, to music classes like songs for seeds and Music Together, to cooking, science, construction, ballet, tap, movement, gym, soccer and language. They host weekday and weekend birthday parties, have an award winning day camp, a kids hair salon, a boutique/bookstore and cafe.

It’s noteworthy to highlight their playground priorities – “keep it safe, keep it clean, clean clean, and keep it fun”. I LIKE THAT!

The website offers a great sorting tool for the long list of classes available. The search function allows you to search by semester, age, subject-matter, and day. Click here : www.appleseedsnyc.com/classes.html
