As they wait with anticipation to meet the star of the show, “The Animal of The Week”, they play and learn with toys that are similar to the animal visitor and just before he comes children settle down for a story. Once the special animal appears kids get to touch, enjoy, and hear all about him. Every other week the class pulls out the paint, glue, feathers, sand and more as they create their own animal masterpiece. This one-of-a-kind class isn’t over until you meet all of the animals in the indoor petting zoo.

This one-of-a-kind after school program will give your child the rare opportunity to spend time with live animals and to develop the important science skills of observation, classification and communication. Using a hands-on approach to learning, your child will participate in age appropriate science activities, stories, fun games and creative crafts. Every session will include actively caring for our friendly critters, up-close animal encounters and time to record observations. Before it’s time to go the students can read an animal themed book or just relax with a favorite creature on the Farm.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Thank you so much for those incredible ideas. finding things to do with children is so hard sometimes, especially during the winter break when they are home ALL THE TIME! Their most recent favourite is to make random sandwich crafts out of bread and salad bits, not sure how to explain it I found at this recipes for kids site here, the’res a little picture with each one which is great. Thought your readers might like to try that too. Well, I must be back to rea life now, either my kids are calling or I’m imagining things, which is also quite possible.
